It is the mission of City University Los Angeles to provide culminating instruction through individualized study programs, to qualified undergraduate, law, and graduate members, allowing qualifying adults to finally finish an appropriate academic degree in a manner consistent with expected standards and supportive of their current lifestyles.
Purpose
Through EMI System Schools - Bakersfield School of Law, MLK Urban Core Multi-Versity, United States Academy, Organic Wellness Crusade Network, City University Los Angeles - the directors of the corporation have carried out the primary purposes for which organized, that of providing educational and charitable services to members. It is in the area of 'preventive medicine' or 'wholistic' research, publishing and counseling that the corporation carries out much of its charitable activities.
Objectives
City University Los Angeles accomplishes its objectives by providing (a) quality external or 'distance education' academic degree programs for qualifying adult members for whom completing higher education has been interrupted because of mobility, scheduling, and general inaccessibility; and utilizing (b) admissions criteria in the selection of qualified members who are motivated, self directed, and mature to benefit from degree programs which are legal, non-traditional, and that meet their personal and career objectives through guided, independent study which can be completed at home, in the office, or "on the road."
