DOCTOR OF EDUCATION

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

    

A professional degree program for school administrators, college faculty, curricula developers, educational materials specialists and other career professionals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 54 semester/81 quarter credits
  2. A dissertation based upon original research.
  3. An Annotated Bibliography and a Critical Analysis of a current problem, both in the field of concentration.
  4. 25%-50% concentration from the core curriculum.

PREREQUISITES:

  1. A masters degree or the equivalent, plus substantive experience and/or licensure in a related field of concentration.
  2. Articulation of an original topic of research, including acceptable methodology, and related to the specific degree title.
  3. An awareness of the objectives of external studies; the ability to achieve personal objectives; and a propensity for study by distance learning.
